For those you are regular visitors of my blog (thanks a lot :)!) maybe notice the low post frequency. yeah... I'm trying finish my degree and the courses are addicted in time! Lately I'm working with some software development methodologies like XP working with Agile, also working with Enterprise Architect for software modulation and software architecture. EA is a great software for this operations, using diagrams (UML), there are templates for many things, I don't know other tool for this but tools as: MSVisio, DIA,SmartUML, etc; are very far for the rigorous and complete functional software as EA.
The EA development team is open for suggestions and feedback and as students and professionals are using, they are sending some feedback and suggestions, and we can the new features as result of that.
One of my favorite field of computer science is the subject around high availability (data and services), complex architectures of applications or services. All days I try to find answers for questions and scenarios like:
How I can develop a system that can't be stopped but needs to change some core features , or some views...?
If I have a system which I need change some features and that stops all application, how can change this? How upgrade for a new architecture to allow this hot-swap for newer version?
In past I worked around some applications and some services with this problems, but in that time the software and the methodologies didn't talk much about this type of architecture. I remember using some web services to insure some services and to exchange data for synchronization and for the merge with newer version. In matter of data, the SQL server had some tools, he grant the ACID properties and integration of multiple and simultaneous transactions. We used some obsolete and ignored some issues of security for sure.
So I'm thinking in something like a conference or some round tables meeting for open discussions of this subjects. let's see.
I'll trying posting some news or some stuff about this questions and others things as usual.

Boas, venho apresentar-vos a mais recente (espero eu) comunidade portuguesa de entretenimento digital. O objectivo desta comunidade é reunir os entusiastas na área que gostem de falar e dar opiniões sobre alguns brinquedos, media center, portáteis xptos, máquinas fotográficas, etc.
O objectivo é mesmo criar um centro de discussão e troca de impressões bem como truques e dicas da temática que hoje em dia nos invade a toda a hora. Sei que agora inicialmente é complicado, quer a nível de conteúdos quer a nível de visitas mas creio que é uma mais-valia para todos nós de forma a reunirmos pessoas, amigos e amantes do mundo digital.
Inicialmente eu e o Nuno Silva (MSP, media center addicted) damos o primeiro passo na criação da comunidade, mas claro estamos à espera e convidamos todos a dar uma vista de olhos e caso queiram em participar. Sugestões e opiniões obviamente serão muito bem recebidas e respondidas, gostaríamos de poder ter a melhor forma de proporcionar discussões e conteúdos de qualidade e claro tenha um reconhecimento dentro do nosso país.
O tempo tem sido muito curto e tanto eu como o Nuno temos tentado fazer a coisa aos poucos, portanto ainda estamos a fazer ajustes tanto no site como na parte dos blogs. O Nuno Silva já escreve no seu blog, e eu espero no fim-de-semana lançar o meu primeiro artigo.
Fica o convite a todos que queiram visitar ou participar, espero que este seja um projecto de sucesso tal como é o pontonetpt :)
